On Friday, February 25th, 2022, our Utah Martin Luther King Jr. Human Rights Commission and staff had the pleasure of partnering with the Utah Jazz outreach team to create an MLK experience at Lincoln Elementary of the Granite School District!

Fourth and fifth graders of various backgrounds learned about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s six principles of non-violence through interactive activities and presentations. It was an engaging day of building community and respect for each other through these legacy-building principles! Thank you to the Utah Jazz Doing Good Team for their dedicated coordination, the incredible educators at Lincoln Elementary for opening their doors to this opportunity, and to our Commissioners for the care and instruction provided in engaging our young leaders. #MLKDayEveryday
