2022 Multicultural Youth Leadership Day

We invite you to the 2022 Multicultural Youth Leadership Day! An event for 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students and educators.





EVENT DETAILS

Calling 10th-12th grade multicultural students and educators! The Utah Division of Multicultural Affairs (MCA) will virtually host the 2022 Multicultural Youth Leadership Day on March 22nd and March 31st. Both days have the same program to accommodate various school schedules. When registering, participants will choose one of the two days to attend.

This engaging program aims to motivate all students to pursue leadership and civic engagement pathways.

LOCATION

To be held virtually over Zoom. A link will be email out prior to the event.

TIME

Participants have the option of participating on one of two days:

Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022 or Thursday, March 31st, 2022, 9-11 AM

EVENT REGISTRATION STEPS (UPDATE: REGISTRATION Closed)
1. Choose Your Day.

Select either March 22nd or March 31st as your event day. The program will be the same for both days.

2. Complete Registration Form.

Students, educators, parents/guardians, and community members will complete the registration form that will become available on January 14th.

Gift Card Offering: Educators who register themselves and their students by Friday, March 4th will receive a $50 gift card to purchase snacks for their classroom. This offer is not available for parents or guardians.

**Students will need to provide the name of the educator who will oversee the Leadership Day experience. Please provide them with this instruction prior to having them fill out the registration form.

Registration will be open from Friday, January 14th to Friday, March 11th.

3. STUDENTS COMPLETE PRE-SURVEY FOR PRIZES.

As part of registration, students can complete a pre-survey prior to the event for a chance to win prizes.

2022 Excellence in Leadership Awards (UPDATE: NOMINATIONS CLOSED)

Multicultural Youth Leadership Day seeks to empower youth to become civically engaged and foster their interests and skills as young leaders.

Through the Excellence in Leadership awards, we seek to recognize students from grades 10th, 11th, and 12th who help to advance civic engagement and community service in their communities in Utah. This award also seeks to highlight young leaders who have made great strides in their life despite challenges and obstacles.

NOMINATIONS Open JANUARY 14th AND CLOSE March 4th.
