Dr. Miguel Trujillo, PhD, LCSW
Hometown: Salt Lake City, Utah
Social Worker, PhD
I am a third-generation Utahn with my grandparents immigrating to Corrine City from Mexico when they were both kids. My grandpa worked on a sugar beet farm, was later an entrepreneur in Ogden, and drove a taxi when they eventually moved to Salt Lake City. My grandmother supported him at every step raising 10 children together, most of whom continue to live in the Salt Lake Valley. Despite facing obstacles along the way, my family made a home here in this state. I continue to try to emulate their legacy of hard work and perseverance as a social worker. In my career, I strive to provide opportunities to others in our state, so they can find a good home here too.
