2021 Multicultural Youth Leadership Summit (Fall)

We invite you to the Multicultural Youth Leadership Summit: Your Power to Be! An event for 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students and educators.

EVENT DETAILS

Calling 7th-9th grade multicultural students and educators! The Utah Division of Multicultural Affairs (MCA) will be virtually hosting the 2021 Multicultural Youth Leadership Summit: Your Power to Be on Wednesday, October 27th and Wednesday, November 3rd from 9 AM to 11 AM. Programming will be the same on both days to accommodate more school schedules.

Our theme this year, “Your Power to Be”, encourages students to reflect on their future goals and discover tools that can build upon their strengths. This statewide conference focuses on increasing opportunities for educational and career success amongst youth of diverse identities and communities. Topics include: College & Career Readiness, Mental Health, and Financial Empowerment, We look forward to seeing “Your Power to Be!”

LOCATION

To be held virtually over Zoom. A Zoom link will be sent via email prior to the event.

TIME

Wednesday, October 27th, 2021 or Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021

9:00 AM - 11:00 AM (For Both Days)

Classroom Gift Cards & Prizes

Student participants will be eligible for potential prizes from Clever Octopus with eligible classrooms receiving a $50 gift card if they register by Friday, October 15th. 


REGISTRATION STEPS

1. Choose Your Day.

Select either October 27th or November 3rd as your event day. The program will be the same for both days.

2. Complete Registration Form (Deadline: Oct 22).

Students, Educators, and Parents/Guardians will complete the registration form: https://forms.gle/KjkLNe4xehS6EaKi7

    • Gift Card Offering: EDUCATORS, register your students by Friday, October 15th to receive a $50 gift card for your classroom. 
      • This offer is not available for parents or guardians. 

Registration will officially close on Friday, October 22nd.

3. STUDENTS COMPLETE PRE-SURVEY FOR PRIZES.

As part of registration, students can complete a pre-survey prior to the event for a chance to win prizes.
