Multicultural Youth Leadership programs recognize this and help students become involved citizens, cultivate leaders and provide opportunities for youth to interact with their elected officials. The Utah Office of Multicultural Affairs works to strengthen and support our communities starting with its foundation—its young people.

High level what sponsors support, inspirational about how it helps students – The Utah Multicultural Youth Leadership Summit is an annual one-day conference bringing student leaders, educators, parents, community leaders, state government, and other prominent organizations together to discuss educational advancement and empowerment for middle and high school students. The Summit is in support of Governor Gary R. Herbert’s “66 by 2020” education initiative, a state goal that aims to have 66 percent of Utah’s working age population receive a postsecondary degree or certificate by 2020.
