Utah’s Diplomatic History: Latin-American & Hispanic Consulates in Utah
The Consulate of Mexico in Salt Lake City has provided influence and support for more than 110 years. This legacy of diplomacy paved the way for other Latin American and Hispanic consulates to enter Utah, including El Salvador, which officially opened a general consulate in 2023, and other honorary offices including those representing Peru, Brazil, Spain and Uruguay.
